Womens Air Ship PE SP x Opium – Sail/Blue Chill-Black-Court Purple
Parisian boutique Opium celebrates the dual cultures of the store’s founders through this unique version of the Nike Air Ship.
With call-outs to their home base of Paris, the shoe features a pattern inspired by traditional Moroccan mosaic called Zellige. The pattern features on the heel—used as the binding which joins both panels of the shoe’s quarters. A bonus feature lay beneath the textile Swoosh—layered beneath is more of this distinct pattern, hidden to be revealed through time or with the delft use of a scalpel perhaps?
The remainer of the shoe is classic Nike, with a colourway which brings back memories of the iconic Nike Air Max BW’s ‘Persian’ colourway. Light blue hits are used across the branding, with embroidery of Opium’s signature star motif on key points of the shoe.
