GEL-Kayano 20 × KENZO – Multi/White
Japanese fashion label Kenzo continues to thrive under the new direction of Nigo—founder of BAPE—after his appointment to the position following the departure of Opening Ceremony founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim.
Teaming with fellow Japanese label ASICS, the Kenzo design team embrace the loud, playful spirit of the house and apply it to the archival Kayano 20 silhouette. Seen for the first time since it’s release for the franchise’s 20th anniversary in 2013—the Kayano 20’s futuristic look is only enhanced with Kenzo’s updates.
The patchwork uppers with embossed leopard motif reference the brand’s big cat mascot, whilst the technicolour palette harnesses the look which founder Kenzō Takada built the name on.
