Gel-Lyte III OG – Rooibos
ASICS continues to explore Japanese craft and culture, they find more novel ways to rework classic silhouettes in a new way. For this latest Gel-Lyte release they focus on traditional dyeing techniques and how they create a naturally varied finish.
The dye used to colour the uppers is produced by OCHAZOME™ by using the excess ingredients from the rooibos tea-making process. The natural pigment colours the fabrics in different ways, with the canvas base soaking up more colours than the denim overlays. The result is a monochrome finish that’s complimented by the tonal midsole and gummy outsole.
