105 Standard Selvedge Denim – One Wash
The 105 cut is the orSlow take on a classic Levi’s 501 – the quintessential jeans. With so many different shapes, washes and weights on offer, sometimes it’s good to go back to basics.
Construction and details are as you’d expect. External rivets reinforce the high-stress areas as they’ve done for over a century whilst hidden rivets strengthen the back pockets, which feature a simple arcuate. The fly is buttoned — zips never work that well on jeans we’ve found, and the denim is (of course) Japanese selvedge.
This pair is treated to a One Wash finish, which as the name suggests gives tehse a single wash after being made. Compared with an unwashed rigid pair, the denim is softer to the touch. Most people choose to pre-wash their raw denim because it tends to aid in the fading process but there’s some nutcases out there who refuse it and wear them raw. In reality all it does is remove any resins from the denim and a little indigo, preparing them for a lifetime of wear and fading.
