M1906RCY x CAYL – Mustard/Khaki
New Balance is back for another round with CAYL (Climb As You Like)—a Korean label inspired by exploring outdoors—this time working on the venerable 1906R silhouette.
The uppers are executed in a grid mesh which is lightweight and durable, sporting a translucent finish that’s paired with heat-fused overlays. This combination gives the 1906R a technical finish unlike what we’ve seen from the model before and befitting of the outdoor inspiration.
Tech design details continue with the heel pull-tab, custom toggle laces and clear heel counter. The silhouette takes to all of these changes so well, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the 1906 was a trail shoe, not the high-mile trainer it was originally designed as.
