Action Bronson, aka @bambambaklava has returned once again to show us that good design needs no gimmicks. Having knocked it out the park on his first two Made in USA silhouettes, the 1906 is next-up to get the Baklava treatment.
Dubbed “Medusa Azúl” the shoe is dressed in a palette of electric blue and black with hints of golden bronze which match the gum outsole. As part of a trio of releases, including the “Rosewater” and “Scorpius” versions, this blue-heavy version sits perfectly in the set or on its own.
Details are heavy on the shoe’s design, with multiple meshes—including a particularly wild tongue materials—and reflective panels being a major focus. The midsole sports a metallic blue heel crashpad and purple laces call-back to Bronson’s first-ever release on the 990v6.
Each pair comes in a custom box, packaged with a bespoke neoprene mesh carry bag that’s honestly one of the best inclusions we’ve seen for a sneaker release in a while.
