Released originally in 2019, the Mafate Speed 2 was an update to the trail racing shoe which brought even more cushioning. True to HOKA’s early-days ethos, the maximalist midsole allowed for a cloud-like ride over even the roughest terrain. This luxury is in stark contrast to the aggressive look, with abrasion-resistant welded overlays criss-crossing the upper. The Vibram® outsole sports large 5mm lugs to offer ample traction across the types of terrain this shoe was designed to traverse.
