Samba Millenium – Crew Yellow/Core Black-Gum
Originally released in 2009, the Samba Millennium never attempted to be a retro-inspired lifestyle silhouette and instead continued the shoe’s legacy as an indoor sports shoe.
The leather uppers and suede toe cap are drawn from the original with a reworked cut that’s a bit more Y2K than the slimline shape of the ’70s version. An EVA cushioned midsole with Torsion bar is the real improvement for the Samba Millennium, coming a long way from the super thing gum outsole to afford some actual comfort.
The gum isn’t gone, you still get a serving of two-tone rubber on the outsole, affording the same great grip and killer look which we all love.
