ASICS pulls a new silhouette from the archives to give a second run. As low-profile footwear begins an inevitable comeback, the ASICS Skyhand has been selected as the brand’s first foray into this market niche.
Originally release in the 1990s, the Skyhand was created for professional handball players. Side note, how many classic shoes are based off a sport which seems to be played mostly in Eastern Europe?
Not content with simply rehashing a shoe from the archives, ASICS decided to increase the comfort without changing the silhouette by incorporating modern FLYTEFOAM PROPEL cushioning in the midsole. This makes the Skyhand more comfortable than it ever was, without altering the low-profile silhouette.
