US5-S GEL-Quantum Kinetic – Light Indigo/Peacoat
ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov Studio continue their working partnership with a curated style update to the GEL-Quantum Kinetic.
The throwback deign of the original is eschewed in favour of more technical and flowing lines befitting of the Kiko Kostadinov design language. Swathes of mesh form the majority of the upper with synthetic panels cutting through.
For the sole it’s as-expected GEL-Quantum with ASICS FF BLAST™ foam bringing performance cushioning to the forefront, but the real star of the show is GEL. A technology synonymous with the ASICS name, here we see what is arguably the purest form to-date. This is called Scutoid GEL™ – a closely packed 3D geometry with an off-axis structure that was developed in cooperation with the ASICS Institute of Sport Science.
