Womens Air Max SNDR – Black/Silver
Originally known as the Air Max Sunder, the model returns after 25 years with a slight update to the name—rebranded as the SNDR which we’re assuming would be for legal reasons.
Few ranges have birthed as many fantastic models as Nike’s Alpha Project—from Kukini to Kobe and the all-conquering Presto—it proved to be a well of great ideas during the late ’90s. After giving plenty of airtime to the headlining models, Nike continues to explore Alpha history with other models including the Sunder.
Originally designed as a radical new trail shoe, the Air Max Sunder was equipped with a zip-up bootie construction which protected the laces from outside elements. The distinctive colour fade upper came accented with reflective panels which helped to compliment the Air Max sole tooling which featured forefoot and heel cushioning.
Nike’s 25th anniversary re-issue is a faithful replica of the OGs, down to the original branding hits—it’s just the name that’s a little different.
